UKGBC: Who We Are
UK Green Building Council is the industry network with a mission to radically transform the built environment in the face of the climate, nature crises. We champion bold government action and convene the ambitious sections of industry to drive progress at pace and scale.
This is an opportunity to play a role at the forefront of tackling the climate and nature crises and to protect communities. Nature is in collapse and our buildings and communities will not withstand the climate impacts we face without urgent action. The places we live, work and play in must, and can, be part of the solution, not the problem.
We are a multi-disciplinary team of c.30 passionate, skilled people from across the UK with a London office hub. As a green charity, we prize our welcoming and inclusive work culture with wellbeing and professional development at its heart.
The Role
We are seeking a confident, competent and driven CRM / Salesforce Administrator who is keen to play a pivotal role in an increasingly vital and influential organisation. This fixed-term role offers an exciting opportunity to gain experience in both Salesforce administration and CRM evaluation, supporting a review of available platforms to assess how well Salesforce continues to meet the organisation's requirements.
This role is ideal for an early to mid-career professional looking for an opportunity to develop their stakeholder management skills, and to work independently to maintain and develop UKGBC’s CRM software, so that it continues to capture and report important insights regarding UKGBC's activities.
The ideal person will have hands-on experience using Salesforce and its core products, with a strong understanding of their function and relationships, along with good problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills. They will be trusted to work autonomously to provide a seamless service and support to their teammates across UKGBC, all the while developing their own broad insight and knowledge of our mission through working with a passionate and knowledgeable team of colleagues, and also with businesses across the entire built environment value chain.
We are an equal-opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any protected characteristic. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome and valued. Our commitment to inclusivity means we support flexible work arrangements, ensuring work-life balance for all. We prioritise accessibility and will gladly accommodate any needs upon request, as we believe in providing a barrier-free recruitment process.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
