Salesforce CRM and Data Officer

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce professional to improve supporter data, reporting and insight for an international climate charity.

Position: CRM and Data Officer

Salary: £28,000 to £36,000 per year
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Remote, with occasional travel to London and Cornwall
Closing date: 10 September 2026. The vacancy may close early if sufficient suitable applications are received.

About the role

As Salesforce CRM and Data Officer, you will manage and improve the organisation’s Salesforce system, helping colleagues use data effectively and deliver an excellent supporter experience.

Acting as the main point of contact for Salesforce, you will provide day-to-day support, maintain accurate supporter records and develop reports and dashboards that inform fundraising and marketing decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing Salesforce configuration, users, permissions, supporter records, campaigns and fundraising processes
  • Providing Salesforce support, guidance, training and documentation
  • Maintaining data quality through cleansing, deduplication and regular checks
  • Creating reports and dashboards for different teams and audiences
  • Analysing supporter and campaign data to identify giving trends and provide actionable insight
  • Supporting integrations and data flows between Salesforce and third-party systems
  • Overseeing analytics and tracking tools, including Google Analytics, Tag Manager and website reporting
  • Managing data protection enquiries and supporting GDPR-compliant contact preferences
  • Supporting accurate Gift Aid processes and claims
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify systems and improve processes

About you

You will be a confident Salesforce professional who can combine technical CRM administration with data analysis, reporting and excellent internal support.

You will need:

  • At least two years’ recent, hands-on Salesforce administration experience
  • Experience managing users, permissions, records, campaigns and routine configuration
  • Experience creating Salesforce reports and dashboards
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Experience maintaining supporter, donor, customer or membership data
  • Experience improving data quality and resolving day-to-day CRM issues
  • An understanding of GDPR, data privacy and contact preference management
  • The ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues
  • Strong problem-solving, organisation and stakeholder management skills

Experience of fundraising data, Gift Aid processes, Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack or Nonprofit Cloud would be an advantage.
