Salesforce Data Business Analyst
Contract: Outside IR35
Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract (Rolling)
Location: London / Hybrid

Overview
We're working with a leading London Market insurer seeking an experienced Salesforce Data Business Analyst to join a major business transformation programme.
This role will play a pivotal part in a large-scale Salesforce data migration and integration initiative, ensuring high-quality data is successfully migrated into Salesforce while working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party partners.
The successful candidate will combine strong business analysis skills with hands-on Salesforce data experience, acting as the bridge between business requirements and technical delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as the Salesforce Data Business Analyst on a major enterprise transformation programme
- Gather, analyse and document business, functional, and data requirements
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand existing data structures and define future-state requirements
- Produce Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, user stories, and process maps
- Perform detailed data mapping between legacy platforms and Salesforce
- Support Salesforce data migration activities, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the migration lifecycle
- Analyse Salesforce data models, including standard and custom objects, relationships, record types, and field mappings
- Work alongside Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Salesforce Developers, and Product Owners throughout delivery
- Define validation rules, reconciliation processes, and data quality controls
- Support SIT, UAT, and production readiness activities
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions across business and technology teams
- Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement throughout the programme

Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Data Business Analyst
- Previous London Market insurance experience is essential
- Hands-on experience delivering Salesforce data migration or Salesforce implementation projects
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce data model, including standard and custom objects, relationships, and record types
- Experience using Salesforce Data Loader (UI or CLI) or equivalent bulk data loading tools
- Ability to query Salesforce data using SOQL
- Strong SQL skills for querying, profiling, and reconciling relational data
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data validation, and reconciliation
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts including extraction, transformation, data mapping, and load sequencing
- Experience working with structured data formats including CSV and JSON
- Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments

- Salesforce Administrator certification
- Experience with Guidewire integrations
- Experience working with APIs and enterprise integrations
- Azure DevOps or Jira
- Experience working alongside Data Engineers and Solution Architects
- Understanding of insurance policy, claims, or underwriting data
- Experience within regulated Financial Services
