Salesforce Engineer
£60,000 - £70,000
Hybrid/London - 2/3 days a week
Tech: Salesforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce Flow, SFDX / Salesforce CLI, Git, Azure DevOps
Immersum is partnering with a fast-growing fintech business in the FX and international payments space to hire a Salesforce Engineer. This is an opportunity to join an autonomous engineering team and help build a modern, greenfield Salesforce platform from the ground up. You'll have genuine ownership of end-to-end solutions while influencing the architecture, engineering standards, and long-term direction of the platform.
The Role
- Design and build custom Salesforce solutions from end to end
- Develop Lightning Web Components for modern user experiences
- Create Apex services, business logic, and scalable data models
- Build and maintain REST/SOAP integrations with external systems
- Work across the full software lifecycle from design to production
- Collaborate directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to architecture, coding standards, and code reviews
- Improve testing practices and platform quality as the environment grows
- Balance rapid delivery with compliance and data governance requirements

What They're Looking For
- 3+ years' commercial Salesforce development experience
- Strong expertise in Lightning Web Components (lifecycle hooks, wire adapters, events, reactive properties, component composition)
- Solid Apex development skills including SOQL, governor limits, asynchronous processing, and unit testing
- Experience building Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, authentication, and data mapping
- Experience delivering features from design through to production
- Strong understanding of scalable, maintainable Salesforce architecture
- Practical experience with Salesforce Flow and knowing when to use Flow vs Apex
- Confident with modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience using Git, pull requests, and source-driven deployments with SFDX
- Strong communication skills with business stakeholders
- Ownership mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Curiosity to challenge assumptions and identify the best solution
- Comfortable working within a regulated environment where testing and auditability are essential
