About The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Salesforce Developer to join our Product Engineering Team at Sage, located in Winnersh, UK. This hybrid role involves working onsite three days a week, with the remainder of the time flexible for remote work. As a Salesforce Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Salesforce solutions for Sage’s flagship SaaS product, Sage People. Sage People is a comprehensive HR and people management platform built on the Salesforce platform, serving customers worldwide. This is a hands-on engineering position that requires deep technical expertise, focusing on delivering scalable, robust, and innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, testers, architects, and product managers, to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions that drive the product forward. Your contributions will directly impact the platform’s functionality, user experience, and future AI-driven capabilities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in object-oriented programming, with proven experience in Java or C#. You should have hands-on experience developing solutions on the Salesforce platform, particularly with Salesforce Lightning and Lightning Web Components (LWC). Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, and JavaScript is essential, along with the ability to manage and deliver complex technical requirements effectively. Salesforce Developer Certification is highly desirable but not mandatory. Additional skills such as experience with Git, Jira, IntelliJ, CI/CD pipelines, and exposure to Salesforce REST APIs will be considered advantageous. We welcome applications from experienced Salesforce Developers as well as backend developers with strong development fundamentals who are eager to specialize in Salesforce technology. A proactive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
