About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salesforce Developer to join our team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining robust Salesforce solutions that support a variety of transformation projects across the public sector. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, senior developers, and business analysts, to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The role offers flexibility regarding work location, with options to work at client sites, remotely, or from our offices in Godalming or Milton Keynes. The position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that serve the public good, utilizing your expertise in Salesforce development to deliver innovative and secure solutions.

The role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively within an agile environment. You will be pivotal in supporting the entire development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and documentation, ensuring high standards of quality and security are maintained throughout.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and certifications, including Salesforce Platform Developer I as a minimum requirement. Additional certifications such as Salesforce Platform Developer II, App Builder, or Integration Architect are desirable. A degree or equivalent qualification related to computer science, software engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
You should demonstrate proven experience as a Salesforce Developer, preferably within the public sector or enterprise-scale environments. Familiarity with Salesforce products such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud is essential. Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, integration tools, and middleware platforms like MuleSoft will be highly regarded. A solid understanding of Salesforce security models, data architecture, and DevOps practices, including version control and CI/CD pipelines, is necessary. Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are critical for success in this role. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements is also important.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce to meet project requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and implement scalable, secure solutions that adhere to best practices.
- Collaborate with solution architects and senior developers to support system design, integration, and deployment activities.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous integration and delivery of Salesforce codebases.
- Build integrations with external systems via REST and SOAP APIs, and leverage third-party tools to enhance functionality.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation and share knowledge across teams to foster continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies, providing updates on progress, challenges, and estimates to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Support testing, deployment, and post-deployment activities across different environments, ensuring stability and security.
