About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Salesforce Developer to join our Product Engineering Team at Sage, based in Winnersh (Reading area), UK. This is a hybrid role requiring three days onsite work per week, offering a dynamic environment where technical expertise meets innovative product development. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Salesforce solutions for Sage People, our flagship HR and people management SaaS platform built on the Salesforce platform. This role is strictly hands-on development, focusing on coding, system architecture, and technical problem-solving rather than administration or bespoke customer configurations.

As part of our ISV (Independent Software Vendor) team, you will contribute to a single, evolving product with a strong emphasis on code quality, scalability, and long-term architecture. The team culture is collaborative, innovative, and supportive, with a focus on shared ownership, continuous learning, and technical excellence. You will work closely with fellow developers, testers, product managers, and architects in a modern environment utilizing tools such as Git, Jira, IntelliJ, and CI/CD pipelines. The role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of Salesforce development, including AI-driven capabilities and innovative features that enhance the platform's functionality.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
