Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer – Fully Remote (UK)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer to join our digital commerce team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, headless eCommerce solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and PWA Kit. You will work closely with architects, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance storefronts and integrations for enterprise retail platforms.
Location: United Kingdom (Fully Remote)
Employment Type: Contract / Permanent (depending on engagement)
Work Authorization: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions, including PWA-based storefronts.
- Implement headless commerce architectures leveraging SFCC APIs and PWA Kit.
- Collaborate with architects to translate High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) into scalable, functional components.
- Build and optimize key modules such as checkout, search, personalization, and API orchestration.
- Integrate SFCC with enterprise systems including PIM, OMS, SAP CRM, and CDNs to enable real-time data synchronization.
- Configure and optimize Algolia search, including indexing strategies, relevancy tuning, and fallback mechanisms.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, scalability, and reliability standards.
- Support incident resolution, performance tuning, and platform stability during staging, go-live, and hypercare phases.
- Work with MuleSoft or similar integration platforms for API orchestration and enterprise integrations.
- Follow best practices around code modularization, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and solution governance.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) development.
- Proven experience implementing headless commerce solutions using PWA Kit.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
- Experience with REST APIs, API integrations, and MuleSoft (or similar integration platforms).
- Experience configuring and optimizing Algolia search.
- Familiarity integrating PIM, OMS, SAP CRM, and other enterprise systems.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment, and performance optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on large-scale retail or eCommerce implementations or migrations.
- Knowledge of SFCC Business Manager and cartridge development.
- Experience with multi-region deployments and CDN strategies.
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud certifications or related Salesforce certifications are highly desirable.
Nice to Have
- Experience in retail, omnichannel commerce, or enterprise eCommerce environments.
- Exposure to composable commerce architectures.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
