About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure Salesforce solutions across various transformation projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, senior developers, and business stakeholders, to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that serve the public sector and enhance national capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce development, with hands-on experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce DX. You will play a key role in supporting the full development lifecycle, including integration, testing, deployment, and documentation. This role may be based at client locations, working remotely, or from our offices in Godalming or Milton Keynes, offering flexibility to suit your working preferences.
Due to the security requirements of our projects, candidates must be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC clearance. To qualify, you must have been a resident in the UK for at least five years and have the right to work in the UK.
Qualifications
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification is desirable.
- Additional Salesforce certifications such as App Builder or Integration Architect are advantageous.
- A degree or equivalent qualification related to computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer, particularly within public sector or enterprise environments.
- Strong development skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce DX.
- Experience with Salesforce products such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, integration tools, and middleware platforms like MuleSoft is desirable.
- Understanding of Salesforce security models and data architecture.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, version control, and CI/CD pipelines in Salesforce environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and implement scalable, well-tested solutions.
- Collaborate with solution architects and senior developers to support system design, integration, and deployment activities.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and adhere to development best practices to ensure code quality and consistency.
- Build integrations with external systems via REST and SOAP APIs, utilizing third-party tools when necessary.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation and share knowledge with team members to promote best practices.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, providing regular updates, effort estimates, and addressing technical challenges.
- Support testing, deployment, and post-deployment activities across multiple environments.
