With a commitment to innovation and customer success, Sage provides a comprehensive suite of software products that help businesses streamline their operations, improve productivity, and foster growth. Recognized for its dedication to technological advancement, Sage leverages cutting-edge AI capabilities and modern development practices to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-friendly solutions. About The Role

We are seeking a talented Salesforce Developer to join the Product Engineering Team at Sage, based in Winnersh (Reading area), UK. This role offers a hybrid working model, requiring three days onsite each week. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing and maintaining Sage's flagship HR and people management SaaS product, Sage People, built on the Salesforce platform. This is a hands-on engineering position that emphasizes coding, solution design, and technical implementation, rather than administrative or consulting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in object-oriented programming and a passion for developing scalable, high-quality solutions within a modern, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess proven experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C#, with a solid understanding of Salesforce development. A demonstrated ability to deliver solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, SOQL, and JavaScript is essential. Candidates should have experience working with Salesforce Lightning and Lightning Web Components (LWC). Familiarity with modern development tools and practices, including Git, Jira, IntelliJ, and CI/CD pipelines, is highly desirable. Salesforce Developer Certification is a plus but not mandatory. The role welcomes both experienced Salesforce developers and backend developers with strong development fundamentals seeking to specialize in Salesforce technology. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, and a collaborative mindset are key attributes for success in this role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
