About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic team at Foresters Financial in Bromley, Kent. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Salesforce platform to support our customer engagement and operational needs. This role involves translating complex business requirements into scalable and efficient Salesforce solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. The Salesforce Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions that enhance our customer experience and operational efficiency.

The position offers a competitive salary up to £60,000 per annum, with flexible working arrangements after the initial training period. Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with start times varying between 7.30 am and 9.30 am. Additionally, there is an option to work remotely up to two days a week, providing a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable experience as a Salesforce Developer with a strong understanding of Salesforce customization and configuration. Essential qualifications include Salesforce Certified Administrator and Platform App Builder certifications. Having Salesforce Certified Developer 1 certification is advantageous. Candidates should have extensive experience working with declarative tools such as Workflow, Process Builder, and Flows, as well as proficiency in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Data Loader, and other programmatic tools. Experience with Salesforce Sales or Service Cloud is required, and familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus. A passion for continuous learning, demonstrated through Trailhead modules and ongoing certifications, is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering requirements from the product backlog and design specifications
  • Translating business needs into user-friendly and maintainable solutions
  • Designing both declarative and programmatic solutions to the highest standards
  • Documenting technical specifications clearly
  • Communicating effectively with non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding
  • Customizing and configuring Salesforce to meet evolving business requirements
  • Developing new features and optimizing existing functionalities
  • Ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance within the Salesforce environment
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features and best practices through Trailhead and certifications
