Job Specification: Mid-Level Salesforce Developer (FinTech)

Location: Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mid or Senior Level Salesforce Developer to join my client's growing fintech engineering team. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining our Salesforce platform to support high-performance financial products, compliant workflows, and exceptional customer experiences. You’ll work closely with product, operations, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy custom solutions using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Configure Salesforce objects, flows, validation rules, process automation, and integrations.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebase, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements and translate them into technical designs.
  • Support CI/CD processes, code review, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced fintech environment to deliver features and enhancements on schedule.
  • Ensure all development meets financial-services compliance, security, and audit requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–8 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Strong proficiency with:
    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • Apex Classes, Triggers, Test Classes
    • REST/SOAP APIs
    • SOQL & SOSL
  • Experience with Salesforce platform features including Flows, Service Cloud or Sales Cloud, and custom objects.
  • Understanding of development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git) and unit testing.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I / II, Administrator, or other relevant).
  • Experience in the fintech or financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Copado, Bitbucket Pipelines).
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards relevant to financial data.
  • Experience with data migration tools (Data Loader, Data Import Wizard, or ETL tools).

Work Environment
