Role - Solution Developer – Salesforce B2B / D2C Commerce

Duration: 6+ months
Location: UK or Eastern Europe
Mode of Interview: Video

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce B2B and D2C Commerce solutions using native platform capabilities and custom development.
  • Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Visualforce (where required), and Experience Cloud.
  • Build and extend B2B Commerce functionality including product catalogs, buyer groups, price books, entitlements, checkout, order management, and storefront customizations.
  • Design reusable and maintainable components following Salesforce development best practices and architectural guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical designs and scalable solutions.
  • Participate in technical workshops with clients, providing recommendations on Salesforce Commerce capabilities, platform limitations, and implementation approaches.
  • Develop integrations between Salesforce and external platforms such as ERP, OMS, payment gateways, tax providers, inventory systems, middleware, and third-party APIs using REST/SOAP and Platform Events.
  • Customize the checkout experience, pricing logic, promotions, shipping, taxes, and order lifecycle to support complex B2B and D2C commerce scenarios.
  • Implement declarative solutions where appropriate using Flows, Validation Rules, Custom Metadata, Custom Settings, and Dynamic Forms.
  • Develop secure, scalable APIs and asynchronous processes using Queueable Apex, Batch Apex, Future methods, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture.
  • Build comprehensive unit tests ensuring high code coverage and adherence to Salesforce development standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and DevOps activities including Git branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and resolve technical defects across Commerce, Experience Cloud, and Core Salesforce applications.
  • Collaborate closely with QA engineers during testing phases, supporting SIT, UAT, regression testing, and production deployments.
  • Stay current with Salesforce seasonal releases, Commerce Cloud enhancements (B2B/D2C), and emerging platform capabilities, applying them to improve solution quality and maintainability.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Salesforce D2C Commerce (B2C Commerce integrations or Salesforce D2C capabilities).
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with:
    • Salesforce OMS
    • ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
    • Payment providers (Salesforce Payments, Stripe, Adyen, CyberSource, etc.)
    • Tax engines (Avalara, Vertex)
    • Middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica)
    • Inventory and fulfillment systems
  • Experience developing custom checkout flows, shipping logic, tax calculations, promotions, and order orchestration.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CMS and Experience Cloud content management.
  • Experience with Salesforce Payments, Subscription Management, or Order Management.
  • Understanding of Commerce APIs, Connect API, GraphQL APIs, and headless commerce architectures.
  • Experience with unlocked packages, modular development, and enterprise application architecture.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working within distributed delivery teams.
