Salesforce Functional Architect
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Functional Architect to join our client, a leading Wealth Management organisation, and play a critical role in designing scalable, secure and user-centric Salesforce services that support their relationship-led business model and growth ambitions.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape end-to-end functional design across the Salesforce platform, working with technologies including Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), OmniStudio and Experience Cloud. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical feasibility, providing clear and pragmatic advice that ensures solutions deliver measurable business value while adhering to platform best practice and regulatory requirements.
As part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary Agile team, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand user needs, business processes, design principles and delivery constraints. You will provide guidance on the most appropriate approach, whether that involves out-of-the-box functionality, configuration or customisation, and will be comfortable communicating design recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You will own and evolve the functional architecture blueprint, defining system processes, data models and user journeys, while maintaining the key design artefacts needed to support effective delivery.
You will play an important role in supporting Agile delivery, partnering with Business Analysts to validate requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and working with Product Owners to inform prioritisation and ensure solutions deliver meaningful business outcomes. You will also collaborate closely with Technical Architects to identify appropriate solutions and ensure functional and technical designs work effectively together. Strong stakeholder engagement will be essential, as you will work with colleagues across the organisation to understand complex business processes and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone with strong experience in Salesforce delivery, ideally having worked as a Functional Architect or Senior Salesforce Consultant in a role with design accountability. You will have hands-on experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC), including its data model covering Financial Account, Contact, Household, Relationship Group and Referral, together with practical experience of FSC use cases such as customer onboarding, Customer 360, wealth and asset management, and case management.
You will also bring practical experience with OmniStudio/Salesforce Industries, including the design and specification of OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors and Integration Procedures. Strong knowledge of Salesforce Lightning, Flows, the Salesforce security model and other Salesforce configuration capabilities will be important.
Experience working within a bank, wealth management organisation or regulated financial services environment is highly valuable. You will be comfortable working with Risk, Compliance and Information Security stakeholders and translating regulatory and control requirements into appropriate platform designs. You should also have strong requirements engineering skills, including structured elicitation, user story development, defining high-quality acceptance criteria and maintaining end-to-end traceability.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
You will have experience working within Agile delivery teams, using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira, and be comfortable participating in sprint ceremonies, backlog management and story refinement and readiness activities. You should also be confident leading workshops and engaging with senior business stakeholders, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and influence decisions effectively.
Experience with Experience Cloud would be highly desirable, particularly around authentication patterns such as SAML and OIDC, self-service journeys and community page architecture. An understanding of Salesforce DevOps practices would also be beneficial, including release planning and the impact of metadata dependencies on functional design. Familiarity with Salesforce’s three major annual releases and the importance of pre-release impact assessments would be advantageous, as would previous involvement in a Salesforce Centre of Excellence or Community of Practice.
We would particularly welcome candidates with demonstrable experience delivering end-to-end customer onboarding and wealth and asset management solutions within financial services. Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant and Salesforce Financial Services Cloud Accreditation would be beneficial, with the Financial Services Cloud accreditation strongly preferred.
If you are an experienced Salesforce professional who enjoys solving complex business problems, shaping effective user-centric solutions and working collaboratively across business and technology teams, this is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact within a leading Wealth Management organisation.
