This role operates primarily on a remote working arrangement that will require little to no travel into our Coventry head office or various campuses. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

About our Department

The Functional Consultant (Salesforce) sits within our Technology Department that is crucial to making sure our employees and students can work effectively, deliver projects, find the right solutions and ensure we develop the technology that will make the biggest difference.

Our IT team is made up of around 65 employees with a vast range of skills from Software Development to IT Operations and Security.

About the Opportunity

Join Arden University as a Salesforce Functional Consultant and play a key role in maximising the value of our Salesforce platform across the University. Working primarily across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, you'll help shape how Salesforce supports our people, processes and student experience.

You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business needs, translate requirements into effective solutions, and deliver configuration and enhancements that make a real difference. From improving processes and data quality to supporting users and driving adoption, you'll be involved in continuously evolving the platform to meet the University's changing needs.

About You

If you're passionate about Salesforce, enjoy solving business challenges through technology, and want to make a real impact in a purpose-driven organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

Essential skills / experience:

  • 3 years minimum Salesforce administration within a business environment.
  • Strong declarative configuration capabilities, including Flows, reports, dashboards, fields, layouts and automation.
  • Supporting Salesforce users within a service or operational environment.
  • Good understanding of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud functionality.
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence supporting and guiding non-technical users.
  • Experience working within Agile or service-delivery environments.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to system improvement and problem-solving.

Desirable skills / experience:

  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant or Service Cloud Consultant certification.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Omni-Channel.
  • Delivering user training and creating clear system documentation.
  • Experience working within a large, complex organisation or Higher Education environment.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar work management tools.
