About AbsoluteLabs
AbsoluteLabs is a specialist business and technology consulting firm with deep expertise in retail, consumer goods and other customer-centric industries. We combine industry advisory, process transformation and technology delivery to help clients achieve measurable commercial outcomes.
Role purpose
As a Salesforce Functional Lead, you will own the functional solution for Salesforce initiatives spanning Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud programmes. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams through every stage of delivery, from initiation and solution definition through to functional design, configuration oversight, implementation and handover.
This is a delivery-focused functional leadership role rather than a hands-on configuration or development position. You will translate complex business requirements into actionable Salesforce solutions, guide business analysts, configurators, developers and UX designers to a cohesive outcome, and act as the key liaison between business and technical stakeholders throughout the engagement.
Key Responsibilities

- Own the functional solution for Salesforce initiatives across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud programmes.
- Translate complex business requirements into actionable Salesforce solutions that prioritise targeted business outcomes.
- Provide thought leadership across customer service operations, case management, omni-channel, knowledge management, automation and service process optimisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
