A day in the life As a Salesforce Lightning Developer, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable solutions across MMA’s Salesforce platform.
You’ll work closely with Business Analysts, Product Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, QA, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into well-designed Salesforce solutions. The role will focus heavily on Lightning development, platform configuration, integrations, and ongoing enhancement of business processes across Salesforce.
You’ll also help improve development standards, code quality, release readiness, documentation, and overall platform stability as we continue maturing our delivery and DevOps model.
What you’ll be responsible for

- Build and enhance Lightning pages, custom components, workflows, and business automation.
- Develop scalable solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Configure and extend Salesforce using Flow, validation rules, custom objects, permission sets, and other platform capabilities.
- Support integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and event-driven patterns.
- Participate in solution design, technical reviews, code reviews, and estimation sessions.
- Work closely with BAs and Product Managers to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support QA, UAT, defect resolution, and production validation.
- Follow source-control, branching, deployment, and release-management standards.
- Help improve unit-test coverage, regression readiness, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support root-cause analysis.
- Identify technical debt and recommend opportunities to simplify or improve existing solutions.
- Collaborate with onshore, offshore, nearshore, and vendor development teams.
- Maintain awareness of Salesforce platform releases and recommend relevant capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
