Role Description
Salesforce Platform Architect
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days working from onsite - Mandatory)
Client Business Area: Asset Management Platform
Immediate start
Permanent/ Fixed term contract/ Contract inside IR 35
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom without the need for visa sponsorship preferred
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Platform Architect to define and lead the target-state architecture for a global Salesforce ecosystem supporting client-facing functions across the Asset Management business. You will be responsible for ensuring the platform remains scalable, secure, high-performing, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards while enabling business growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the Salesforce platform architecture across multiple business areas.
- Define architecture standards, design principles, and technical governance frameworks.
- Lead solution design for complex business initiatives, providing architectural direction and technology roadmaps.
- Drive integration architecture across Salesforce, enterprise applications, APIs, MuleSoft, and data platforms.
- Ensure platform integrity across data architecture, security, scalability, release management, and technical debt.
- Champion DevOps and CI/CD best practices, including automated testing and deployment strategies.
- Evaluate and implement AI capabilities such as Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce.
- Provide architectural oversight and guidance to engineering teams and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with enterprise architecture teams to ensure alignment with wider technology strategies.
- Mentor technical teams and promote architectural excellence across the organisation.

Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive Salesforce architecture experience within large, global financial services organisations.
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA).
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture, data modelling, security, governance, and platform best practices.
- Hands-on experience with integration technologies, including APIs, event-driven architecture, and MuleSoft.
- Experience defining Salesforce DevOps/CI-CD strategies using tools such as Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps, and Git.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
- Solid understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience producing high-quality architecture documentation and technical design artefacts.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations within financial services.

Desirable
- Experience within Asset Management, Investment Management, or Client Distribution functions.
- Knowledge of Seismic or similar sales enablement/content management platforms.
- Exposure to Salesforce Einstein, Agentforce, and AI-enabled client engagement solutions.
- Experience operating within complex multi-vendor environments and cloud-based technology ecosystems.
