Salesforce Portal Owner (Senior Developer) – Investment Management

Permanent | City of London | Hybrid Working
£85,000 - £95,000 + Annual Bonuses & Benefits

A leading and growing financial services organisation is looking for an experienced Salesforce Portal Owner to take end-to-end ownership of its investor and adviser portals.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role sitting at the intersection of Salesforce development, product ownership, UX and data governance. The successful candidate will own the client digital journey across onboarding, applications, illustrations and ongoing servicing, while playing a key role in the modernisation and transformation of the platform.

With the portals handling significant volumes of personal and financial information in a highly regulated environment, the role also carries considerable responsibility for data protection, security, regulatory compliance and data quality.

The Role

The Salesforce Portal Owner will own the roadmap, user experience, development and ongoing evolution of the portal estate.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking end-to-end ownership of the investor and adviser digital journeys, including roadmap, UX and delivery.
  • Building and maintaining the platform hands-on using Salesforce Experience Cloud, Lightning Web Components, Apex and scheduled jobs.
  • Developing and maintaining complex client-facing financial calculations covering illustrations, valuations, interest/return and payment schedules, withdrawals and exit/buyback logic.
  • Owning onboarding and application journeys, including KYC/AML, document generation, e-signature and payments.
  • Designing and continuously improving the portal experience, with a focus on usability, accessibility and self-service.
  • Managing access and authentication, including MFA and SSO, alongside correspondence, notifications, statements and overall data quality.
  • Acting as the day-to-day data owner for the portal estate, ensuring strong compliance with GDPR/UK GDPR and FCA requirements, including data-subject requests, retention and access controls.
  • Supporting the management of security, privacy and regulatory incidents alongside the DPO and Compliance teams.
  • Conducting market and competitor analysis and translating insights into the product roadmap and backlog.
  • Supporting portal releases as a secondary deployer within an established DevOps and release framework.
  • Using emerging AI tools and AI-assisted development to improve delivery speed, prototyping and design.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
