Salesforce Pre-Sales Consultant
Leeds, Yorkshire - hybrid role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is looking for an experienced Salesforce Pre-Sales Consultant to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Salesforce professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, business and sales. You will play a key role in understanding customer challenges, shaping Salesforce solutions and demonstrating how technology can deliver real business value. The role offers a mix of solution consulting, technical design, customer engagement and collaboration with sales teams. Ideally, you will be able to travel to our client's Leeds office, although candidates willing to travel a few times a month will also be considered.
The Role
As a Salesforce Pre-Sales Consultant, you will work closely with prospective customers and internal sales teams to understand business requirements, design Salesforce solutions and support the sales process from initial discovery through to proposal and demonstration. You will combine your knowledge of the Salesforce platform with strong communication and commercial skills to develop compelling solutions that address customer needs and demonstrate measurable business value.

- Lead discovery workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with prospective customers.
- Design Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
- Develop and deliver technical demonstrations and proof of concepts (POCs).
- Advise on Salesforce platform capabilities, CRM architecture and solution design.
- Analyse business processes and translate customer challenges into effective Salesforce solutions.
- Support RFP and RFI responses, proposal development and solution documentation.
- Present solutions to stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
- Work collaboratively with sales teams to support opportunities and develop value-based propositions.
- Advise on API integrations and wider system architecture.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce AI and automation capabilities.
- Balance technical solution design with commercial considerations to ensure proposed solutions meet customer needs.
Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Salesforce Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting or similar customer-facing role.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
- Good understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, CRM architecture and solution design.
- Experience leading discovery workshops and gathering business requirements.
- Ability to design and deliver compelling technical demonstrations and proof of concepts.
- Strong business process analysis and solution consulting skills.
- Experience supporting RFP/RFI responses and developing customer proposals.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive presentation skills.
- Understanding of API integrations and system architecture.
- Commercial awareness and experience working closely with sales teams.
- Knowledge of Salesforce AI and automation capabilities.
- Willingness to travel to our client's Leeds office, ideally on a regular basis or at least a few times per month.
