Salesforce Product Analyst - Security
£350 per day (open to negotiation DOE)
Initial 6-month contract
Hybrid in London
Inside IR35
We are primarily looking for a Salesforce Product Analyst with strong Salesforce Security expertise, rather than a general BA/ data analyst. The key requirement is a strong, in-depth understanding of the Salesforce security model and access controls, including how permissions and access are structured and governed. Alongside this, they need strong knowledge of Salesforce integrations — how integrations work end-to-end with third party systems, how API access is provided and controlled, authentication/OAuth, integration users, Connected Apps/External Client Apps, permissions, and least-privilege access.
They should be able to work closely with Salesforce architects, security SMEs, product and engineering teams to assess access and integration requirements, define product/security requirements, and translate these into clear Jira stories and deliverables. BA, stakeholder management, and Agile experience are important, but secondary to strong Salesforce product, security, and integration knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and prioritise Salesforce security, access and integration requirements with business, product and technology stakeholders.
- Apply strong understanding of the Salesforce security model and access controls, including Profiles, Permission Sets, Permission Set Groups, Roles, OWD, Sharing Rules, CRUD/FLS and record-level access.
- Define and assess Salesforce integration and API requirements, including REST/SOAP APIs, authentication/OAuth, integration users, Connected Apps/External Client Apps, Platform Events, and middleware.
- Assess how external applications and enterprise systems access Salesforce, ensuring appropriate and least-privileged access.
- Work with Salesforce architects, security SMEs, developers, and product teams to understand technical designs and translate them into product requirements.
- Create and manage Jira stories, acceptance criteria, backlog items and supporting documentation.
- Support product roadmap, backlog prioritisation, testing, releases, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure Salesforce solutions meet security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking For:
- Strong Salesforce product knowledge, particularly Salesforce Security and access control.
- Good understanding of Salesforce integrations, APIs and external application access, including OAuth, Connected Apps/External Client Apps and integration users.
- Ability to understand, analyse and challenge Salesforce security and integration requirements, without necessarily needing to be a developer or architect.
- Experience working with architects, SMEs, developers and product teams.
- Strong Product Analyst skills with experience in Jira, user stories, acceptance criteria, Agile delivery, and stakeholder management.
- Experience in security, access governance, API management, or enterprise integrations is advantageous.
