About the Role
Are you an experienced Salesforce QA Engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality, enterprise-grade CRM solutions? We're looking for a talented automation test engineer to join us on a 12-month contract and play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of our Salesforce platform.
Working closely with Salesforce Developers, Technical Leads, Architects and Business Analysts, you'll be responsible for designing, developing and executing automated and manual test solutions across Salesforce applications, integrations and platform enhancements. Your work will help deliver robust CRM capabilities that provide an exceptional experience for our customers.
This is a hands-on quality assurance role where you'll work across the full software development lifecycle, supporting both project delivery and business-as-usual activities while contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing frameworks, automation capabilities and release quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks for Salesforce applications using Selenium WebDriver, Java and JavaScript.
- Develop automated functional, regression, integration and end-to-end test suites to support Salesforce releases.
- Execute manual testing where required, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across new functionality, enhancements and production fixes.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Developers, Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand business requirements and define effective test strategies.
- Validate Salesforce functionality including custom Apex developments, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and platform configuration.
- Test Salesforce integrations with third-party SaaS applications and internal systems using REST APIs and other integration technologies.
- Create detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar technologies.
- Identify, log, track and manage defects through to resolution while working closely with development teams.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes using Azure DevOps or similar DevOps tooling.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups and release activities within Agile delivery teams.
- Produce clear testing documentation, reports and quality metrics while promoting QA best practices across the wider technology team.

Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Software QA or Test Automation with strong experience testing Salesforce applications.
- Proven experience developing automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver.
- Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript.
- Experience testing Salesforce functionality including Lightning Experience, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and custom applications.
- Good understanding of Salesforce data models, security model and platform configuration.
- Experience testing REST APIs and system integrations.
- Experience with defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.

Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous but is not essential:
- Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC).
- Experience testing Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) or OmniStudio solutions.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for test management and release support.
- Experience with API automation tools such as Rest Assured.
- Experience within Banking or Financial Services.
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Certification.
- Salesforce certifications or exposure to Salesforce development.
