Salesforce Software Engineer
London | Permanent position with Robert Walters Consultancy
Robert Walters Consultancy is looking for a hands-on Salesforce Software Engineer to work with a global investment management client. You'll develop the Salesforce platform used by its client engagement teams, building reliable solutions that support client relationships across the business.
This role suits an engineer who enjoys writing code, solving integration challenges and owning their work from design through to production.
What you'll do
- Design and develop secure, scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows and declarative configuration.
- Integrate Salesforce with other business platforms using APIs or middleware.
- Apply strong engineering practices across code quality, automated testing, CI/CD and releases.
- Work with technical teams and business stakeholders to turn requirements into practical solutions.
- Support the platform in production, contribute to code reviews and explore practical uses for Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce.

What you'll bring
- Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components and Flows.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with other systems through REST or SOAP APIs; MuleSoft experience is welcome.
- A sound understanding of Salesforce data modelling, security, governor limits and platform best practices.
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps, automated testing and release management, using tools such as Git, Copado, Gearset or Azure DevOps.
- Experience in financial services and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required. Salesforce Administrator certification is expected, and Platform Developer II is strongly preferred.

You'll be employed permanently by Robert Walters Consultancy and work on an assignment with a leading investment management client in London.
