Salesforce Technical Architect - Consulting
Location: Remote, travel to customers when required
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £80-150k dependant on experience
Lead Salesforce technical solutions across Sales, Service, and Platform with direct client engagement and hands-on technical delivery

They're seeking a confident Salesforce Technical Architect to join their consulting team on a permanent basis. Position Overview
As a Salesforce Technical Architect, you'll be the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal delivery teams, responsible for designing and delivering Salesforce solutions that drive business impact.
- You'll combine hands-on development expertise with strong client-facing skills, leading workshops, presenting complex technical concepts to stakeholders, and ensuring solutions meet best practice standards for security, performance and maintainability. Your role bridges technical delivery and client relationships, making you essential to project success and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and delivery of Salesforce solutions across Sales, Service, and Platform capabilities
- Facilitate client workshops, whiteboard sessions, and solution presentations, translating business requirements into technical architecture
- Provide hands-on development using Apex, Lightning Web Components, integrations, and automation tools
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal delivery teams throughout projects
- Review code and mentor Salesforce developers and administrators, ensuring consistent quality and best practice
- Ensure solutions meet security, performance, and maintainability standards across all implementations
- Support pre-sales activities including technical demonstrations and solution design proposals
- Collaborate with functional consultants, project managers, and business stakeholders to deliver aligned outcomes
- Identify technical risks and proactively recommend improvements to enhance solution delivery

Essential experience and skills
- 6+ years of Salesforce experience with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role
- Proven expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, REST/SOAP integrations, and data modelling
- Delivered a minimum of 1 complex project in a Salesforce Technical Architect capacity
- Strong whiteboard and presentation skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience leading development teams and conducting code reviews
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Proven experience delivering solutions directly in front of clients
- Current Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer II, Integration Architecture Designer, or Technical Architect)
- Experience and interest in AI
- Consultancy or professional services background
- Ability to attend client meetings in person
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
