Salesforce Technical Architect
12-month contract | Hands-on technical leadership
We’re looking for an experienced Salesforce Technical Architect to take technical ownership of a large, mature and business-critical Salesforce platform.
This is a brownfield modernisation role — not a purely advisory architecture position. You’ll combine deep Salesforce expertise with strong software-engineering skills and remain hands-on.
What you’ll do
- Own and evolve the Salesforce application architecture
- Modernise a heavily customised production environment
- Work across Apex, LWC, Flow, integrations, data and asynchronous processing
- Improve application stability, reliability, observability and supportability
- Establish better patterns for error handling, logging, monitoring, retry and reconciliation
- Review and manage complex managed-package dependencies (Bullhorn experience desirable)
- Improve CI/CD, source control, environments, testing and release practices
- Help enable smaller, safer and more frequent releases
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and code/design reviews
- Stay hands-on with development, debugging, refactoring and proof-of-concept work

What we’re looking for
- Deep, recent hands-on Salesforce engineering experience
- Strong Apex, LWC, Flow, APIs, transactions, governor limits, bulk processing and Platform Events knowledge
- Proven experience architecting and modernizing complex brownfield Salesforce environments
- Strong software-engineering and distributed-systems fundamentals
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and source control
- Someone pragmatic, curious and comfortable getting into complex existing code and production behaviour
- Strong technical leadership skills without needing formal line-management authority

Salesforce certifications are useful but not essential — engineering depth and practical architecture experience matter most.
