Salesforce Technical Architect - Service Cloud & Agentforce
12-Month Contract (ASAP start) | £670 per day (Inside IR35) | Leeds (Hybrid Working)
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Service Cloud & Agentforce Technical Architect to join a major customer service transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end technical architecture across Salesforce Service Cloud, Agentforce, DevOps, integrations, and deployment governance within a complex enterprise environment.
Working closely with architects, delivery teams, developers, and business stakeholders, you will provide technical leadership throughout the full delivery lifecycle, from solution design and development through to automated deployment, release management, and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical architecture across Salesforce Service Cloud and Agentforce workstreams
- Define target-state architecture including Service Cloud, Agentforce, integrations, security, environments, and operational readiness
- Design scalable customer service solutions including Case Management, Omni-Channel Routing, Knowledge Management, Entitlements, Digital Engagement, AI-assisted service journeys
- Provide hands-on architecture guidance for Agentforce agents, prompts, actions, topics, grounding, orchestration, and escalation patterns
- Define and govern DevOps strategy using Azure DevOps, Salesforce DX, Git, Copado, Gearset, and deployment automation tooling
- Establish Trunk-Based Development practices, branching strategies, pull request governance, quality gates, and rollback controls
- Review and approve technical designs, integrations, code standards, testing approaches, and release plans
- Drive architecture decisions across performance, resilience, security, compliance, scalability, and platform limits
- Mentor developers and technical leads, providing governance and guidance throughout delivery and release cycles
- Support production deployments, release readiness, cutover planning, and post-deployment assurance

Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Extensive Salesforce implementation experience with a strong technical architecture background
- Expert-level knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud in enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience delivering Agentforce solutions, including agents, topics, prompts, actions, grounding, orchestration, and service workflows
- Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flows, Platform Events, REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce data modelling
- Deep understanding of Azure DevOps including Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans, Release Management
- Proven experience implementing CI/CD automation, Trunk-Based Development, Release Governance, Environment Management, Rollback Strategies
- Strong experience with Salesforce DX, Git, Copado, Gearset, or similar deployment automation frameworks
- Knowledge of DevSecOps controls, Salesforce security architecture, permissions, sharing models, and compliance requirements

- Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect certifications
- Service Cloud Consultant certification
- AI Specialist certification
- Experience with Service Cloud Voice
- Exposure to Data Cloud and MuleSoft
- Experience working on retail, eCommerce, or high-volume contact centre transformation programmes
