Position: Salesforce Technical Lead

Employment Type: Contract

Start: ASAP (August/September 2026)

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Berkshire, UK (Mostly remote, 1 day per week office)

Language(s): English

Role – We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Tech Lead to lead the technical delivery of Salesforce solutions within a fast-paced Agile environment. This role is ideal for a senior Salesforce professional with strong hands-on development expertise, technical leadership experience, and a proven track record of delivering scalable enterprise Salesforce implementations.

You will work closely with Solution Architects, Development Teams, QA, and Integration teams to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical delivery of Salesforce development across Agile sprint cycles.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical estimation.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to design scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Break down complex technical requirements into deliverable work packages.
  • Ensure timely delivery of development tasks while meeting acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct technical investigations and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Perform Salesforce code reviews and enforce development best practices.
  • Maintain high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Coordinate with integration teams to ensure API and system integration alignment.
  • Support defect investigation and resolution alongside QA teams.
  • Mentor Salesforce Developers and provide technical leadership across the team.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the Salesforce development lifecycle.

Key Skills:

  • 12+ years total IT experience
  • 5+ years in a Salesforce Technical Lead or Senior Salesforce Developer role
  • Experience delivering enterprise Salesforce implementations
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external platforms
  • Strong experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Experience Cloud
  • Expertise in both declarative and programmatic Salesforce development
  • Apex
  • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Visualforce
  • Flows
  • Salesforce APIs
  • Integration patterns
  • Salesforce security and sharing models
