Job Title: Salesforce Technical Manager

Location: London, UK - 3 Days a week WFO
Duration: 12+ Months Inside IR35 Contract

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic FDC Technical Manager with 10+ years of experience to lead and manage complex Salesforce development programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overall architecture, technical governance, and team leadership, ensuring that Salesforce solutions align with business needs and architectural standards. You must be able to drive the program to delivery, meet scope, quality, time, and budget constraints, and act as a critical bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program & Technical Leadership: Define the overall architecture and technical roadmap for Salesforce solutions. Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to development teams to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure project alignment throughout the lifecycle. Lead/manage complex stakeholders with diverse views.
  • Delivery Management: Oversee the implementation process, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget. Facilitate change management and drive continuous improvement in development processes (Agile/Scrum).
  • Technical Oversight: Ensure successful integration of Salesforce with other enterprise applications, ensuring data flows smoothly and securely. Oversee design and development of custom applications, including Apex, LWC, and integrations.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with projects to ensure a smooth, successful implementation.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Experience: 10+ years of strong, end-to-end program/technical management experience. Proven track record of managing complex development programs.
  • Salesforce Expertise: Deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and relevant integration patterns. Extensive knowledge of Salesforce development lifecycle tools and techniques.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL/SOSL. Experience in data modeling, data migration, and complex integration (e.g., APIs, Mulesoft).
  • Project Management: Good knowledge of project management tools (Jira, Confluence) and methodologies (Agile/Scrum). Ability to perform high-level time and effort estimations.
  • Communication & Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decisions, articulate ideas to senior management, and lead cross-functional/matrixed teams across geographies.
