General Role Responsibilities
To provide proactive and effective technical support across Indevor Group, ensuring employees have access to reliable systems, technology and support to enable them to perform their roles effectively
- To work collaboratively with the Group IT Manager, Management Teams and wider business to understand system requirements and deliver practical, effective technology solutions.
- To maintain high standards of system security, data integrity and confidentiality when managing business systems, user access and commercially sensitive information.
- To provide a professional, responsive and solutions-focused service to employees across the Group, taking ownership of technical issues through to effective resolution.
- To proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working through the effective use of technology, automation and system development.
- To contribute towards the continuous improvement of the Group’s IT infrastructure and business systems, supporting the ongoing growth, efficiency and development of Indevor Group.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Overview
The Salesforce Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, support and continuous improvement of Indevor Group’s Salesforce platform, ensuring the system is effectively configured, maintained and developed to meet the evolving requirements of the business.
The role will provide hands-on Salesforce expertise alongside wider IT and systems support, working closely with the Group IT Manager and departments across the Group to resolve technical issues, improve system functionality, maintain data quality and identify opportunities to enhance and automate business processes.
Role Specific Tasks
- To administer, maintain and support the Group’s Salesforce platform, taking ownership of day-to-day system requirements, user queries and technical issues.
- To configure and maintain Salesforce functionality including users, profiles, roles, permissions, objects, fields, page layouts, record types and validation rules.
- To create, maintain and enhance Salesforce reports and dashboards, providing accurate and meaningful information to support operational and management requirements.
- To develop and maintain Salesforce automation, including flows and automated processes, to improve efficiency, reduce manual activity and support consistent ways of working.
- To work with departments across the Group to understand business requirements and translate these into appropriate Salesforce configurations, enhancements and solutions.
- To maintain high standards of Salesforce data quality and integrity, including data cleansing, imports, exports, validation, duplicate management and ongoing data maintenance.
- To support integrations between Salesforce and other business systems, including monitoring data flows, troubleshooting integration issues and working with APIs where required.
- To investigate and resolve Salesforce errors, system issues and user queries, identifying root causes and implementing effective and sustainable solutions.
- To support the testing, implementation and deployment of Salesforce enhancements, releases, updates and new functionality, ensuring changes are appropriately tested prior to implementation.
- To manage Salesforce user access and security requirements, ensuring permissions and system access remain appropriate and effectively controlled.
- To provide guidance, support and training to Salesforce users across the Group, promoting effective system adoption, consistency and best practice.
- To maintain accurate technical documentation covering Salesforce configuration, processes, integrations, system changes and troubleshooting procedures.
- To provide wider IT support across the Group, assisting with hardware, software, Microsoft 365, user accounts, systems access and general technical issues as required.
- To support the administration and maintenance of wider business systems and applications, including the onboarding and offboarding of users and management of appropriate system access.
- To liaise with external IT providers, software suppliers and technical support teams where specialist assistance or escalation is required, ensuring issues are progressed through to resolution.
- To proactively review existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation and greater utilisation of Salesforce and wider technology.
- To remain up to date with Salesforce releases, functionality and relevant technology developments, identifying opportunities to introduce improvements that support the Group’s ongoing growth and operational efficiency.

The responsibilities outlined are representative of the principal duties associated with the role. All colleagues are expected to adopt a flexible approach, undertaking additional duties commensurate with the role and contributing to the wider success of the business where required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will already be operating within an IT support, systems administration, CRM or Salesforce-focused position, with approximately 2–3 years’ professional experience and demonstrable hands-on experience administering and supporting Salesforce within a business environment.
They will possess strong technical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve system issues independently. They will be confident managing multiple priorities simultaneously and able to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in an ambitious, fast-paced environment where technology and systems play an important role in supporting business performance. They will be comfortable taking ownership of Salesforce day-to-day, whilst also contributing to wider IT support, system integrations, data management and technology projects across the Group.
They will be proactive and forward-thinking, with a genuine process improvement mindset and an interest in understanding how the business operates. Rather than simply maintaining existing systems, they will naturally identify opportunities to improve functionality, automate processes, enhance the user experience and ensure Salesforce continues to develop alongside the ongoing growth of Indevor Group.
Additional Desirable Attributes
- Previous experience administering and supporting Salesforce within a commercial business environment.
- Salesforce Administrator certification, or a strong interest in working towards relevant Salesforce certifications.
- Good working knowledge of Salesforce configuration, including users, permissions, objects, fields, reports, dashboards and automation.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Flow, system integrations and APIs, with an understanding of how different business systems interact.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, with excellent attention to detail and an appreciation of data quality, integrity and security.
- Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Naturally proactive, identifying potential issues and opportunities for improvement before they arise.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and evolving business.
- Strong commercial awareness with an interest in understanding business processes and how technology can improve operational performance.
- Highly trustworthy with unquestionable integrity and discretion when managing system access, business data and confidential information.
- Confident working independently, taking ownership of technical issues and seeing them through to resolution.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 and confidence supporting wider business systems and technology.
