About AbsoluteLabs:
AbsoluteLabs is a specialist business and technology consulting firm with deep expertise in retail, consumer goods and other customer-centric industries. We combine industry advisory, process transformation and technology delivery to help clients achieve measurable commercial outcomes.
The Role
Role purpose:
We are seeking a Salesforce TPM Technical Architect at Senior Manager / Director level who can combine senior client advisory, enterprise architecture, hands-on business solution design and technical delivery leadership. You will work with clients and delivery teams to define scalable Salesforce TPM architectures, integrate the solution with ERP, finance, data and analytics platforms, and govern technical quality from discovery through go-live. The role is suited to candidates with 10+ years of relevant enterprise technology or consulting experience, including deep Salesforce architecture experience and direct Salesforce TPM delivery.
This is a client-facing technical advisory, architecture and business solution design role. You will translate functional TPM processes into scalable application, data, integration, security and deployment designs. You will work closely with functional consultants, client enterprise architects, developers, integration specialists and data teams; hands-on solution leadership is expected, although day-to-day development is not the primary focus.
Key Responsibilities:
Client advisory, technical architecture and business solution design
- Lead technical discovery, architecture and design workshops with client stakeholders across business, enterprise architecture, IT, data, security and integration teams.
- Translate agreed TPM processes, requirements and business outcomes into end-to-end Salesforce TPM architecture, solution options and an executable technical roadmap.
- Design solutions covering customer business planning, promotion planning, trade funds and spend, accruals, deductions and claims, settlement, actuals and performance analytics.
- Define the application, data, integration, security and deployment architecture, balancing standard Salesforce capabilities with justified use of Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components and platform APIs.
- Design integrations with ERP, finance, master data, demand planning, data and analytics platforms using appropriate API, event, batch and middleware patterns.
- Define data models, ownership, migration, archival, volume and batch-processing strategies aligned with customer and product hierarchies and TPM calculations.
- Produce and govern architecture artefacts, including context and component diagrams, integration and data flows, security models, architecture decisions, non-functional requirements and release approach.
- Facilitate technical design decisions, explain trade-offs and risks, challenge unnecessary customisation, and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, supportable and upgrade-safe.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
