About Tops Pizza
Tops Pizza has been serving the UK since 1988. Today we're a franchise network of around 90+ stores, supported by our own warehouse and distribution operation that keeps our stores supplied with fresh, quality ingredients and products.
About Tops Supplies
Tops Supplies is our wholesale food distribution business, bringing the buying power, product range and logistics behind Tops Pizza to the wider food service trade, including restaurants, takeaways, caterers and independent food businesses. We are growing the brand and are looking for the right person to drive that growth.
About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated Sales Executive to join our team. The role has two parts: overseeing and supporting sales across the Tops Pizza network, and, as the main focus, winning new customers and growing revenue for Tops Supplies.
This is a target-driven role suited to a confident, relationship-led salesperson who is comfortable working independently and wants to be rewarded for their results.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach and win new wholesale customers for Tops Supplies, including restaurants, takeaways, caterers and other food service businesses.
- Build and manage a pipeline of leads and prospects through cold calling, networking, site visits and referrals.
- Present the Tops Supplies product range, pricing and service offering to prospective customers.
- Negotiate pricing and terms within agreed guidelines and close deals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat orders and increase account value.
- Oversee and support sales performance across Tops Pizza, working with franchisees and area managers to identify opportunities to grow sales.
- Work with the warehouse, purchasing and finance teams to ensure customer orders, pricing and accounts are handled accurately.
- Keep accurate records of customer activity, quotes and sales pipeline.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing and customer needs, and feed insights back to management.
- Report regularly on sales performance against targets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
