Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a New and Used Forklift and Plant Hire Sales Executive. The role involves managing inbound and outbound sales activities for forklifts and plant hire equipment, including responding to inquiries, qualifying leads, and preparing quotations.

The Sales Executive will:

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
  • Conduct virtual meetings or calls to assess requirements
  • Recommend appropriate equipment and services
  • Update CRM records
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure accurate deliveries
  • Follow up on proposals to secure orders
  • Monitor market trends
  • Contribute to sales campaigns
  • Meet agreed sales targets while delivering a professional, customer-focused service

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, ideally in plant hire, construction equipment, materials handling, or related sectors, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally via phone, email, and video calls.
  • Good commercial awareness, including basic understanding of pricing, margins, and contract terms, and the ability to prepare accurate quotes and proposals.
  • Comfort with remote work, including effective time management, self-motivation, and proficiency with CRM systems and common office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, documents).
  • Knowledge of forklifts and plant hire equipment, or willingness to learn product features, safety considerations, and typical applications to advise customers effectively.
  • Valid work authorization for the United Kingdom and willingness to occasionally travel to client sites or company locations if required.
  • Relevant education or training in sales, business, or a construction-related field is beneficial, though equivalent experience will be considered.
