We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales/Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage and streamline the recording of sales and purchase transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across our financial systems. Your contributions will support the overall financial health of the organization by maintaining precise ledger entries, processing payments, and assisting with data entry tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a dynamic environment that values efficiency, accuracy, and teamwork.

  • Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Payment to suppliers
  • Allocating customers' payments and receipts and supplier payments
  • Credit control
  • Banking
  • Sales invoicing
  • Cash book maintenance
  • General clerical tasks
  • Sales and purchase ledger
  • Filing VAT (these provided by our accountant)

  • We operate a fully integrated computer system
  • 20 hours per week
  • Possible remote working but end of month procedures required at head office

Pay

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Expected hours: 20.0 per week
