Role Overview
As a Style Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional luxury retail experience while building long-term relationships with clients. You will guide customers through every stage of their tailoring journey, from their first consultation to final fitting; providing expert advice on style, fit, cloth selection and wardrobe planning.
Working across both menswear and ladieswear, you will help clients build wardrobes that reflect their personality, profession and lifestyle. This is more than a retail sales role; it is an opportunity to become a trusted part of the team, helping clients present the best version of themselves.
Key Responsibilities
Client Experience
- Deliver an outstanding luxury client experience at every appointment.
- Build genuine, long-term relationships with clients through exceptional service.
- Understand each client’s lifestyle, career, goals and wardrobe requirements.
- Provide expert and confident styling advice across both menswear and ladieswear.
- Conduct consultations for businesswear, weddings, black tie events, race days and other special occasions.
- Recommend complete wardrobe solutions, including tailoring, shirts, knitwear, outerwear, footwear and accessories where appropriate.
- Follow up with clients after appointments to ensure complete satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Sales & Business Development
- Achieve individual and store sales targets.
- Generate new business through networking, referrals and personal outreach.
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of loyal clients.
- Reconnect with existing clients to introduce seasonal collections and wardrobe updates.
- Maximise opportunities through cross-selling and wardrobe planning.
Made-to-Measure & Product Knowledge (Full OnSite Training provided)
- Guide clients through the made-to-measure process for both men’s and women’s garments.
- Advise on cloth selection, garment construction, styling details and fit.
- Take accurate body measurements (training provided if required).
- Assist with fittings and communicate alteration requirements to the tailoring team.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of luxury fabrics, seasonal collections, garment construction and current style trends.
Store Standards
- Maintain the boutique to the highest luxury retail standards.
- Ensure displays, sample garments and fabric collections are always presented impeccably.
- Support stock management, appointment preparation and administrative duties.
- Maintain accurate client records and appointment notes.
Brand Ambassador
- Represent Suited & Booted professionally both inside and outside the boutique.
- Attend networking events, exhibitions and client functions where appropriate.
- Support the creation of social media content and marketing initiatives.
- Uphold the company’s values of craftsmanship, professionalism, integrity and exceptional service.

The Ideal Candidate
You will:
- Have a genuine passion for fashion, tailoring, personal styling and luxury retail.
- Enjoy working with both male and female clients.

- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Be commercially driven while always putting the client first.
- Take pride in your own presentation and personal style.

- Thrive in a team environment while taking ownership of your own client relationships.
Experience within luxury retail, tailoring, personal styling, hospitality or premium customer service is desirable but not essential.
