Inclusive Hair Studio at Thomley
Thomley's new inclusive hair studio is a brand new addition to Thomley's provision. The salon offers an inclusive environment for people of all abilities and the general public to get their hair done, in an understanding and non-judgemental environment.
Purpose of the Role
- Supervising the day to day functioning of the salon
- Managing and delivering a high quality hairdressing service
- Integrating the service with Thomley’s client base and the wider community
The Salon Supervisor will:
- Ensure the hair salon functions day to day whilst managing your own column to generate income for the business.
- Promote services, manage the calendar, and maximise any rent a chair opportunities.

Essential Skills and Knowledge for the Role
Overview
The role will require:
- An experienced hair stylist who is fully qualified to cut and colour on the shop floor.
- A proactive approach to ensuring the salon is always the best environment it possibly can be.
- A friendly, adaptive, and inclusive approach when supporting clients.
- A clear understanding of customer service, with the ability and skills to identify customer needs and be innovative in meeting these requirements.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Provide hair services to support the requirements of all our visitors and the wider community.
- Develop an established client base and fill the calendar to maximise income.
- Manage delegated budget to ensure products and salon essentials are always stocked.
- Promote the salon and the relevant services.
- Oversee the salon calendar, chairs, and columns.
- Support those in training, education, work experience whilst in the salon.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage with all external stakeholders as needed in promoting the benefits of Thomley and services provided.
- Ensure the salon is stocked.
- Ensure the salon is always clean, tidy, and presentable.
- Use the reception and till systems when required with clients.
- Make sure all accidents and incidents at an event are reported timely and accurately.
- Provide monitoring information and reports where required by the Senior Management Team.
