ROLE PURPOSE
The Sample Assistant is responsible for the end-to-end sample management process throughout the studio workflow. The role involves checking in and checking out all products to be shot while ensuring every sample movement is accurately logged. This position serves as a critical link in the production chain, ensuring garments are organised, prepped, and returned efficiently to support high-volume studio operations.
Role Responsibilities:
Sample Management & Workflow
- Unpack all incoming products for shooting, prioritising urgent styles and notifying relevant teams immediately upon receipt.
- Manage the checkout process to return products to their respective departments within a short timeframe.
- Ensure all samples are logged correctly on brand shoot handover sheets and priority decks.
- Prepare shoot rails for the set and take responsibility for the post-shoot handover to the retouching team.
- Pull weekly data to track timelines from the moment a sample is received to the final imagery being dropped into the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
Studio & Campaign Support
- Work as a team to keep the studio tidy, ensuring all sample areas and walkways remain clear and safe.
- Assist with the packing for both international and national campaign shoots.
- Support studio operations by handling expenses, booking couriers, and ordering model lunches at the Premier Park studio.
- Maintain a strong awareness of all live campaign and trend shoots.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
