Title: Sample Preparation Assistant
Location: Watford
Term: 6-month temp contract, provisions to go permanent at the end of the 6 months or be extended. (Performance based)
Quick start available
Working hours and pattern:
- Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours a day (37.5 hours a week)
- Choice of shift: 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm
- 1 hour break each day
SRG are working with a well-established analytical testing company that supports clients across the environmental, construction and infrastructure sectors. Due to continued demand, they are looking for a Sample Preparation Assistant to join their Watford site on an initial 6-month contract, supporting the accurate handling, preparation and processing of samples ready for laboratory analysis.

Day to Day
- Receiving and checking incoming samples against testing instructions to make sure everything's accounted for and correct
- Cross-checking samples against clients' chain of custody documentation for accuracy and traceability
- Accurately labelling samples ready for analysis
- Packing and preparing samples for onward testing
- Completing and scanning paperwork to keep accurate, audit-ready records
- Staying active throughout the day with regular lifting, moving, and walking around the site
- Working as part of a team to keep samples moving efficiently through the process

Requirements
- Hands-on experience within a fast-paced manufacturing, factory, warehousing or production setting
- Strong communication skills and can work well as a team
- Confident completing basic documentation, checking details carefully and keeping records accurate and up to date
- Good attention to detail, with a reliable and organised approach to handling samples and following set processes
