Role Location
This role is located in Sciantec, within the Cawood Scientific Agriculture Division. With over 30 years’ experience in the agri and aquaculture sectors, Sciantec, part of Cawood Scientific, offers a complete analytical service for feedingstuffs, ingredients, raw materials, compound feed, meals, premixes, and forages. Our expertise in animal feed safety and nutrition, combined with modern testing facilities and broad analytical capacity, enables our ISO 17025 accredited laboratory to deliver specialist services for all associated sectors, including feed mills, pet foods, research and development, and commodities traders. Job Description
- Sort and separate samples ensuring they correspond with the relevant paperwork
- Prepare all samples accurately and in a timely manner
- Receive and inspect samples that are delivered to site.
- Communicate discrepancies/queries and take charge of ensuring emails are addressed and dealt with promptly or within a reasonable timescale.
- Understand and follow the Standard Operating Procedures provided.
- Maintain Cawood credibility by always portraying a positive image by keeping equipment and PPE clean.
- Respect company equipment ensuring to use them as per guidelines and to report any damage to management as soon as possible.
- Work as a team and maintaining morale and actively offer help and assistance wherever possible.
- Responsible for keeping safety at the forefront of lab work and being proactive ensuring accidents and near misses are always reported straightaway to Managers in line with our company accreditation and policy.
- When required, assist with on-site training of new employees providing proactive support ensuring there onboarding into the company is friendly, engaging, and inspiring.
