Santa Claus (Temporary Seasonal Role)
Santa Claus - Aberfan Shopping Centre, Merthyr Tydfil
Kingdom is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic individual to become Santa Claus at Aberfan Shopping Centre this festive season. If you enjoy bringing joy to children and families, creating magical Christmas memories and being the heart of the festive experience, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay Rate:
£13.50 per hour
Contract:
Temporary Seasonal Position
Hours Available
We Have Flexible Opportunities Available
- 1 x Full-Time Position: 40 hours per week
- OR 2 x Part-Time Positions: 20 hours per week each
Working any days between Monday and Sunday, with shifts between 10:00 and 17:00.
Assignment Dates:
From 21st November through to Thursday 24th December.
Please note: Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced DBS with Child Workforce check is required.
The Role
As Santa Claus, you will be the star attraction of the Christmas Grotto, creating an unforgettable festive experience for children and families visiting Aberfan Shopping Centre. You'll spend your days listening to Christmas wishes, posing for photographs, spreading festive cheer and helping create magical memories throughout the holiday season.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome children and families to Santa's Grotto
- Interact with children in a warm, friendly and engaging manner
- Listen to children's Christmas wishes and encourage festive conversation
- Pose for photographs with families and visitors
- Work alongside Santa's Elves to deliver a first-class festive experience
- Help create a magical and memorable atmosphere
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times
- Ensure all activities are carried out safely
- Communicate any safety concerns promptly
- Assist with the organisation and smooth running of the grotto
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required

What We're Looking For
- A friendly, outgoing and approachable personality
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confidence interacting with children and families
- Experience in a customer-facing role is desirable
- Strong reliability and excellent timekeeping
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to create a fun and engaging festive experience
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about bringing Christmas magic to visitors
