Job Title: SAP Access Management & Governance Lead
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Access Management & Governance Lead to define, govern, and continuously improve SAP access management, security governance, and compliance across Wella's global SAP landscape.
The role will own the end-to-end SAP access management operating model, ensuring that the right users have the right access at the right time while maintaining strong security, regulatory, risk, and audit controls.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across SAP Security, Access Governance, Segregation of Duties (SoD), role management, approval workflows, risk management, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities
SAP Access Governance & Security
- Own and govern the global SAP Access Management framework and operating model.
- Define and maintain SAP access governance policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
- Ensure appropriate user access provisioning, modification, certification, and de-provisioning processes.
- Establish effective governance for SAP roles, authorizations, and access ownership.
- Drive continuous improvement of SAP security and access management processes.
Segregation of Duties (SoD) & Risk Management
- Own the SoD governance framework, including risk identification, analysis, remediation, and monitoring.
- Manage access risks and ensure appropriate mitigating controls are implemented.
- Partner with business and control owners to resolve access conflicts and security risks.
- Maintain appropriate governance around critical and sensitive SAP transactions and access.

Role & Access Lifecycle Management
- Establish governance for the complete SAP role lifecycle, including role design, approval, provisioning, review, modification, and retirement.
- Ensure clear ownership and accountability for business and technical roles.
- Govern access approval workflows based on business requirements and risk.
- Drive periodic user access reviews and access recertification campaigns.
Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Ensure the SAP environment remains audit-ready and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support Internal Audit, external audits, compliance assessments, and control testing.
- Maintain evidence and documentation for SAP security and access-related controls.
- Identify control gaps and drive remediation plans to closure.
- Establish appropriate KPIs, KRIs, and governance reporting for SAP access management.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with Business Owners, Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, SAP Basis, Risk & Compliance, and other technology teams.
- Manage strategic SAP security/access management service partners and vendors.
- Act as the key point of escalation for SAP access governance and security-related matters.
- Communicate security risks, compliance issues, and improvement initiatives to senior stakeholders.
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives to modernize and strengthen SAP security and identity governance capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, workflow efficiency, controls, and user experience.
- Support SAP transformation initiatives, including changes to the global SAP landscape.
- Establish a scalable and sustainable SAP access governance model aligned with business and technology strategy.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in SAP Security, SAP Access Management, and SAP Governance.
- Strong understanding of SAP authorization concepts, roles, profiles, and access controls.
- Hands-on experience with Segregation of Duties (SoD), access risk analysis, and remediation.
- Experience managing SAP user access lifecycle and role governance.
- Strong knowledge of SAP security controls and audit/compliance requirements.
- Experience working across complex global SAP environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and governance experience.
- Experience working with Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance, and Business Process Owners.
- Strong understanding of SAP security risks, controls, and governance frameworks.
- Experience managing external vendors or strategic SAP service partners.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP GRC Access Control or equivalent SAP access governance solutions.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, ECC, and modern SAP landscapes.
- Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and enterprise identity governance.
- Experience with SAP transformation, security modernization, or access governance maturity programs.
- Knowledge of automation and workflow technologies for access management.
- Relevant SAP Security, GRC, IAM, cybersecurity, or governance certifications would be an advantage.
