Location
This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in summer 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (1 office a week – Bradford/Leeds)
Work type
Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a SAP Ariba Master Data Analyst to join the Finance team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where You Fit In
As our SAP Ariba Master Data Analyst, you will:
- Play a key role in maintaining and enhancing critical master data across the organisation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Transform complex data into meaningful insights, identifying trends and providing recommendations that help solve real business challenges.
- Create, manage, and maintain master data records across key business systems, including SAP S/4HANA and Ariba.
- Champion data quality by proactively identifying issues, driving improvements, and ensuring data remains fit for business use.
- Develop and continuously improve processes and documentation to support effective master data management.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to resolve data-related challenges and deliver practical, value-driven solutions.
- Work collaboratively with IT and business teams to ensure data standards, governance, and system processes are aligned with organisational needs.
- Produce insightful reports and analytics that support operational performance and informed decision-making.
- Design, develop, and maintain standard reporting solutions that provide clear visibility of business performance.
- Support the development of data models and databases that enable efficient reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to the implementation of data standards, best practices, and governance frameworks across the business.
- Lead data cleansing and archiving activities, ensuring systems remain efficient and free from outdated or duplicate information.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand business requirements and define the data needed to support key objectives.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting and analytical requests, delivering timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
- Take ownership of key data sets, including customer, supplier, procurement, catalogue, material, and contract data.
- Use data-driven insights to influence decision-making, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the achievement of business goals.
- Be part of a team that delivers high-quality analytical information and drives continuous improvement through the power of data.
What Skills & Qualifications You Will Need
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical and curious, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Process-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Resilient and tenacious, with the confidence to investigate and resolve challenges.

Desirable
- Experience or studies in Finance, Human Resources, Information Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Experience working with large data sets, reporting, or business systems.
