Position: SAP Ariba Project Manager

Employment Type: Contract

Start: ASAP (August/September 2026)

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Berskhire, UK (Mostly Remote)

Focus on SAP is a specialist SAP and ERP Recruitment organisation offering both permanent and contract staffing solutions on a global scale.

Client – Partnered with a global leader in digital transformation and IT services, working with some of the world’s largest organisations. The business delivers complex technology transformation programmes that require innovation, collaboration and thought leadership.

Role – We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Programme / Project Manager to lead a large-scale Procurement Transformation programme, delivering business value through the implementation and adoption of SAP Ariba.

This senior role will own end-to-end programme delivery across procurement technology, process transformation, data, change management and business adoption, managing multiple interdependent projects and workstreams.

You will provide leadership across SAP Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP), Supplier Risk and Spend Management, ensuring delivery is aligned with strategic objectives and delivers measurable procurement and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end SAP Ariba and Procurement Transformation programmes, managing multiple projects and interdependent workstreams.
  • Own programme scope, roadmap, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies, benefits and delivery outcomes.
  • Develop programme plans, implementation strategies and business cases, ensuring successful transition into Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations.

SAP Ariba & Procurement Transformation

  • Lead delivery across SAP Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle Management, Supplier Risk and Spend Management.
  • Oversee SAP Ariba implementation and integration across the wider enterprise landscape, working with Architecture, Security, Data, Integration and Platform teams.
  • Drive digital procurement, automation, AI and Contract Intelligence opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and business value.

Governance, Risk & Benefits

  • Establish programme governance, steering committees, reporting and decision-making frameworks.
  • Manage programme risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and financial performance, ensuring delivery against time, cost, quality and outcome objectives.
  • Drive benefits realisation across procurement efficiency, spend visibility, supplier governance, compliance, controls and cost optimisation.
  • Manage relationships with system integrators, implementation partners, vendors and third-party suppliers.

Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Legal, Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Security and Business Leadership.
  • Lead change management, stakeholder engagement, business readiness and adoption across new procurement processes, technology and operating models.
  • Develop communication, training and transition strategies to support successful implementation and sustainable adoption.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years’ relevant SAP Ariba Project / Programme Management experience, with a proven track record delivering large-scale SAP Ariba and Procurement Transformation programmes.
  • Strong delivery experience across SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing, Contracts Management, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP), Supplier Risk and Spend Analysis.
  • Deep understanding of Procurement, Source-to-Pay (S2P), Supplier Management, Finance integration, compliance and governance controls.
  • Proven experience managing complex enterprise transformation programmes involving multiple projects, workstreams, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and benefits realisation.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Ariba integration with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP/CPI and enterprise applications.
  • Excellent executive-level stakeholder management, governance and communication skills, with experience managing global system integrators, implementation partners and third-party suppliers.
  • Proven leadership across change management, business adoption and organisational readiness, ensuring successful transition of new procurement technology and operating models into BAU.
