Role: SAP Basis Administrator
Reports to: SAP Basis Manager
Location: Leeds
Hours: 39 hours per week
We're looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to join our SAP team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting our SAP landscape, ensuring system stability, security, performance, and availability across both on-premise and cloud environments. You'll work closely with technical and business teams to resolve issues, support projects, and drive SAP best practice across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP systems including ECC, BW, CRM, Enterprise Portal, Process Orchestration, Solution Manager, S/4HANA and BW/4HANA.
- Manage and support SAP HANA and Oracle database environments.
- Support SAP cloud solutions including SAP BTP, Cloud ALM, C4C, IBP, Integration Suite and Cloud Connector.
- Monitor system performance, carry out health checks, and implement tuning recommendations.
- Manage transports, system copies, refreshes, upgrades and landscape changes.
- Monitor logs and system metrics, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimise system performance.
- Administer SAP security, including user provisioning, role management, authorisations and licence allocation.
- Ensure SAP environments remain secure, compliant and aligned with best practice.
- Collaborate with internal teams, third-party providers and project stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver SAP initiatives.
- Provide technical expertise for projects involving integrations, upgrades, patches and new technology implementations.
- Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge sharing across the team.
- Keep up to date with emerging SAP technologies, trends and best practices.

Who we’re looking for:
- At least 4 years' experience in SAP Basis and Authorisation administration.
- Strong knowledge of SAP architecture, system components and administration principles.
- Experience supporting SAP landscapes including ECC, BW, CRM, Enterprise Portal, PO, Solution Manager, S/4HANA and BW/4HANA.
- Good understanding of SAP HANA and Oracle databases.
- Strong knowledge of SAP security, including role-based access controls, authorisation concepts and user lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with SAP installations, upgrades, maintenance activities and system refreshes.
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud solutions such as C4C, IBP and Integration Suite.
- Experience troubleshooting complex SAP Basis and security-related issues.
- Basic SUSE Linux administration skills.
- Understanding of SAP governance, security, compliance requirements and operational best practice.
- Knowledge of SAP Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
