Job title: SAP Data Migration Lead

Location: Maidenhead, United Kingdom

Position Type: Full-time

Experience Level: 10+ Years


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead to lead the data migration workstream for a large-scale SAP SuccessFactors transformation programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the migration strategy, managing end-to-end migration activities, ensuring data quality, and delivering successful migration from legacy HR and payroll systems into SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and extensive experience in SAP data migration methodologies, reconciliation, testing, and cutover planning.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end SAP Data Migration workstream.
  • Facilitate workshops on Data migration requirements and align with client data requirements.
  • Define and implement the Data Migration Strategy, Data Quality Strategy, and Migration Approach.
  • Analyse legacy HR and Payroll data and map it to SAP SuccessFactors target objects.
  • Define migration objects, transformation rules, validation criteria, and reconciliation processes.
  • Manage data profiling, cleansing, enrichment, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Coordinate business users for data collection, validation, and sign-off. Coordinate with integration teams to validate migrated data across downstream and upstream systems.
  • Plan and execute mock migrations, dress rehearsals, production migration, and cutover.
  • Maintain migration governance, data load ownership, approval processes, audit trails and sign-off processes.
  • Support SIT, UAT, Payroll Parallel Runs, cutover planning, Go-Live, and Hypercare.
  • Support and align with SAP SuccessFactors releases and update with needed migration tools and deliver data migration.
  • Produce migration documentation, runbooks, post load reconciliation reports, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Work closely with Functional Consultants, Integration Teams, Technical Teams, and Business SMEs

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of SAP Data Migration experience.
  • Strong experience with:
    • SAP SuccessFactors Data loads
    • SAP Migration Cockpit
    • SAP Data Services (BODS)
    • SAP LSMW
    • SQL
    • ETL tools
  • Experience migrating HR, Payroll, Organisation Management, Foundation Objects, Employee Master Data, and historical data.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Cutover Planning.
  • Experience in Data validation and reconciliation techniques, Audit and Compliance controls. Familiar with GDPR and Data privacy regulations
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience delivering SAP SuccessFactors migration or implementation programmes is highly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, and SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
  • Experience working in Agile and SAP Activate delivery environments.

Preferred Certifications

  • SAP Data Services Certification
  • SAP Activate Certification
