SAP Engineering / Administration Consultant – DV Cleared
Reading, Berkshire – 100% on-site role
MOD Developed Vetting (DV) clearance
Contract duration: Jan 2027 - 6 months +
Day rate: market rate (Inside IR35)
We are looking for DV-cleared SAP Engineering / Administration Consultants to support a major UK Defence client within a highly secure operational environment in Reading.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience across SAP, manufacturing, engineering, MRP or procurement processes who wants to work in a critical Defence environment.
You do not need to be a deep SAP functional or technical specialist. We are looking for practical knowledge of SAP-enabled business processes, particularly MRP, purchasing/procurement and SAP integration with TeamCenter.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting SAP-enabled business processes within a secure manufacturing and engineering environment.
- Providing operational and administrative support across Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) activities.
- Supporting procurement and purchasing processes managed through SAP.
- Supporting business processes relating to engineering and manufacturing workflows.
- Working with stakeholders to identify, investigate and resolve system-related issues and process inefficiencies.
- Coordinating and managing data flows between SAP and associated enterprise systems.
- Supporting activities relating to SAP integration with TeamCenter.
- Contributing to process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Producing and maintaining documentation, procedures and operational guidance.
- Working with business users, engineers, planners, procurement teams and technical support functions.
- Following all security, compliance and operational procedures within a highly regulated Defence environment.

Essential knowledge and experience
Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP)
- Understanding of manufacturing planning processes.
- Knowledge of material demand planning and scheduling.
- Familiarity with inventory and stock management.
- Experience working within production planning environments.
Purchasing & Procurement
- Knowledge of purchase requisition and purchase order processes.
- Understanding of supplier engagement and procurement workflows.
- Familiarity with material and inventory control.
- Working knowledge of SAP purchasing functions.

SAP & Engineering Systems
- General understanding of SAP-enabled business processes.
- Experience supporting SAP users and business operations.
- Exposure to engineering or manufacturing system environments.
- Awareness of SAP integrations with third-party systems.
TeamCenter / PLM
- Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments.
- Experience working with or supporting TeamCenter-based processes.
- Awareness of SAP-to-TeamCenter integration and data exchange.
Essential skills

- Strong organisation and documentation skills.
- Experience supporting business-critical operational processes.
- Ability to work effectively within a structured, process-driven environment.
Desirable
- Experience working within highly secure or classified environments.
- Engineering change-control experience.
- PLM systems knowledge.
- Knowledge of secure IT and operational delivery environments.
Current MOD Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is essential for a start in Jan 2027.
