SAP FICO Functional Business Analyst
Location: Midlands | Salary: Up to £80,000 + Benefits
Are you an experienced SAP FICO professional looking for an opportunity to influence business performance through technology and process improvement? We are seeking a SAP FICO Functional Business Analyst to support, enhance and develop SAP financial systems, ensuring business-critical processes operate efficiently while driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across finance, IT and operational teams, supporting both day-to-day SAP activities and wider change initiatives. You'll play a key role in strengthening SAP capabilities, improving business processes and delivering value through system enhancements.

Responsibilities
- Resolve SAP FICO-related issues and queries through the help desk support process
- Configure, monitor and troubleshoot SAP EDI and IDoc interfaces
- Provide training, guidance and support to SAP key users
- Support SAP project delivery including testing, user training and data migration activities
- Identify opportunities to expand and improve business use of SAP
- Deliver system enhancements, process improvements and small-scale SAP projects
- Ensure effective integration between SAP FICO and other business modules
- Support financial operations through robust system configuration and process optimisation
Requirements
- Proven experience across SAP FICO modules including FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA, FI-Bank Accounting, CO-PCA, CO-CCA, CO-IO and CO-PC
- Strong understanding of SAP FICO configuration and support
- Experience managing SAP EDI and IDoc processes, monitoring and issue resolution
- Knowledge of VAT declarations, tax accounting and profit and tax difference accounting
- Understanding of end-to-end finance and controlling processes
- Experience supporting users, delivering training and managing stakeholder relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable Experience
- Experience within a manufacturing or automotive environment
- Knowledge of SAP integration with SD, MM, WM, PP, QM, APO, WTY and VMS modules
- Experience supporting SAP projects, upgrades or business transformation programmes
- Understanding of data migration, testing and change management activities
