Role: SAP Analyst – Finance Systems
Location: Milton Keynes
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Analyst to join the ERP Product Group, with primary responsibility for supporting the organisation’s SAP Finance application landscape.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day operational and BAU support across key Finance systems, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BPC, and SAP BW/4HANA. This is predominantly a support-focused role rather than a project delivery position, requiring someone who is comfortable troubleshooting issues, supporting business users, maintaining system stability, and working across integrated SAP Finance applications.
Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors would be advantageous but is not essential. The primary requirement is strong experience within an SAP Finance systems environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day BAU and operational support for SAP Finance applications, primarily S/4HANA, BPC, and BW/4HANA.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve functional and system-related issues raised by Finance users.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and application support activities in line with agreed service levels.
- Support the stability, availability, and effective operation of the SAP Finance landscape.
- Work closely with Finance stakeholders to understand issues, identify root causes, and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
- Liaise with internal SAP teams, technical specialists, and third-party suppliers where required.
- Support Finance processes and associated integrations across the SAP landscape.
- Assist with system configuration, testing, maintenance, upgrades, and minor enhancements where appropriate.
- Perform impact assessments and support change requests affecting Finance applications.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Monitor recurring issues and identify opportunities to improve system reliability and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with other ERP and Finance analysts to ensure effective knowledge sharing and continuity of support.
- Provide support for month-end, year-end, and other business-critical Finance activities where required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
