18-Month Contract | 25% International Travel | Site-based Fareham UK

Overview

Parker Hannifin is seeking an experienced SAP Finance & Integration Specialist for an 18-month contract role supporting SAP Finance processes, systems integration, and operational stability across a multi-country environment.

This role will support Parker Hannifin’s MPD Division — Motion, Power and Sensing Division — helping the business improve SAP Finance control, reporting confidence, process standardisation, and operational performance across the division and other Parker sites.

This role is suited to a hands-on SAP professional with strong FI/CO expertise, proven experience in SAP integration, and the ability to connect business key users, functional teams, technical developers, and external support providers to deliver reliable, business-focused solutions.

The role requires 25% travel and site-based work, with a minimum of 4 days per week in the Fareham office when not travelling.

Role Overview

As the SAP Finance & Integration Specialist, you will support SAP Finance process alignment, integration with connected systems, and smooth transition from project delivery into production support. You will contribute to SAP deployments, integration monitoring, issue resolution, testing, training, and continuous improvement activities across multiple countries.

The role requires a strong understanding of SAP FI/CO, working knowledge of adjacent SAP areas such as PP, QM, and IM, and the ability to operate effectively in a global corporate environment.

A key focus of the role is to ensure SAP supports clear business value across the MPD Division, including preventing SAP-related P&L write-offs, supporting customer contract requirements, reducing intercompany complexity, managing commercial reserves such as rebates and liquidated damages, improving transactional and master data ownership, and strengthening data quality and reporting confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support SAP deployments and ensure effective transition from project phases into support operations.
  • Manage SAP Finance integration with other systems, including setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Analyze business and system issues, identify root causes, and coordinate timely corrective actions.
  • Help prevent SAP-related P&L write-offs by improving process controls, data accuracy, issue resolution, and ownership across finance and operational processes.
  • Support SAP processes required to meet customer contract requirements, including commercial, financial, and reporting obligations.
  • Reduce intercompany complexity by supporting standardised SAP processes, clear transactional flows, and improved reconciliation and reporting practices.
  • Support the management and visibility of commercial reserves, including rebates, liquidated damages, and other contract-related financial provisions.
  • Improve ownership and governance of transactional and master data, working with business teams to strengthen data quality, accountability, and process discipline.
  • Improve reporting confidence by supporting accurate SAP data, consistent process execution, and reliable integration between SAP and connected systems.
  • Support SAP standardisation and lean processes across the MPD Division and other Parker sites.
  • Work with developers to support solution design, validation, and implementation.
  • Act as a key link between:
    • Business key users
    • Functional support teams
    • Technical development teams
    • Level 3 support and external providers
  • Support integration testing and non-regression testing across SAP Finance and related processes.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, user guidance, and curricula for multi-country deployment and support.
  • Establish and facilitate multi-country functional focus groups to align processes, functionality, and business priorities.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of benefit-driven improvement opportunities.
  • Provide backup functional support for SAP PP, QM, and IM where required.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business, IT, finance, supply chain, and manufacturing functions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
