£55,000 - £75,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)

Manchester city centre (hybrid working). We're open to applications from people who may require flexible working arrangements. There'll be an opportunity to discuss your flexible working requirements during the interview process, and at offer stage.

This role is eligible for Skilled Worker (Tier 2) visa sponsorship.

We're reshaping our Digital, Technology and Data function for the future, creating new opportunities, strengthening our capability, and building clearer, more resilient ways of working so we can deliver even better services for our Co-op, our colleagues, members and customers.

We're looking for a SAP Functional Lead to join our Digital, Technology & Data team and help us develop and improve the technology that supports our retail and supply chain operations. In this role, you'll lead the functional direction of our SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR) platform, making sure it delivers reliable, accurate and scalable data to support colleagues and customers across Co-op. Working closely with technology teams and business stakeholders, you'll help shape solutions that improve retail operations, stock visibility and omnichannel experiences.

Why this role matters

SAP CAR plays a key role in how we manage retail data across stores, digital channels and supply chain operations. As our SAP Functional Lead, you'll help shape the future of this platform, ensuring it continues to meet the changing needs of our business while supporting strategic improvements across Co-op. This is an opportunity to combine deep functional expertise with leadership and influence, working with a wide range of teams to deliver meaningful improvements that impact colleagues, members and customers every day.

What you'll do

  • Lead the design and ongoing development of our SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR) functionality.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for SAP CAR, providing guidance on business processes, solution design and platform improvements.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, product managers, business analysts and business stakeholders to design and deliver effective solutions.
  • Support the development of key SAP CAR capabilities, including sales transaction processing, inventory visibility, stock management and omnichannel operations.
  • Ensure effective integration between SAP CAR and connected platforms, including retail, supply chain, store, digital and data systems.
  • Provide oversight and quality assurance for change delivery across the platform and its supporting services.
  • Drive continuous improvement through process simplification, automation and optimisation.
  • Coach and support colleagues, helping to build capability and knowledge across SAP retail solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
