SAP Functional Lead (S/4HANA Public Cloud) - Financial Services / Fund Management

Contract | 12 Months | Up to £700/day (Outside IR35) | 2-3 days/week in London | UK-based, no sponsorship

A specialist infrastructure investment manager is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Lead to join their Finance Systems Team on a 12-month contract, playing a key role in optimising their S/4HANA Public Cloud solution and supporting the next phases of their SAP roadmap.

This is a hands-on, senior consulting position covering both strategic input and day-to-day operational support - working closely with internal stakeholders, the Head of Finance Systems, and an external implementation partner.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborating with internal Team Leads and an external partner to shape ecosystem improvements, aligned to SAP best practice and business requirements
  • Providing expert guidance on system configuration and functionality
  • Delivering front-line support - triaging and resolving incidents for the internal team
  • Assessing and implementing new release features and upgrades
  • Supporting Phase 3 rollout for US-based partners
  • Mentoring junior team members and supporting a global user base

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years' SAP experience in a senior SAP consulting role, with strong SAP Finance
  • Proven FI/MM/SD experience
  • Expertise in SAP Procurement, including CIM or an equivalent supplier invoicing solution
  • Experience with internal/external reporting and workflows
  • Understanding of SAP Fit to Standard vs Standard methodology
  • Solid grounding in Financial Accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
  • UK-based and eligible to work without sponsorship

Desirable:

  • SAP Public Cloud implementation experience
  • Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Concur, Multi-Bank Connectivity (MBC), SAP Migration Cockpit
  • Background in financial services, fund management, or infrastructure investment
  • Experience with Sun Systems and migration to SAP
  • Comfort adapting SAP solutions for smaller/leaner organisations

Details:

  • 12-month contract
  • Day rate up to £700/day, Outside IR35
  • 2-3 days per week on-site in London
